The purpose of integrating Inventory with General Ledger and it so that one can see the general health of the company by way of looking at debits and credits.

Integrating inventory with Job Costing enables one to see what materials are used for jobs, what materials have been received for jobs and what materials are needed to complete jobs compared with what is actually built on different jobs.

Integrating Accounts Payable with Job Costing enables one to see what is spent vs. what is paid on different jobs.
